Description: Deputy Marshals John Swain, William Carr and Deputy Posseman Jim Williams attempted to serve an arrest warrant on a man wanted for horse theft. The lawmen entered the house and a gunfight ensued. Deputy Williams received a fatal gunshot wound to the eye. The suspect was also killed.
