Description: Sheriff Webster and Deputy Edwin Finn were investigating reports of a robbery at a campsite. After the lawmen questioned the men at the camp, they took a shortcut across the lake instead of the longer trip they had made initially by foot. Sheriff Webster and Deputy Finn?s two-man boat capsized. Two men from the campsite attempted a rescue and all four men drowned.
