Description: Deputy Sheriff Wren was shot and killed while attempting to serve a warrant. Deputy Wren confronted the suspect and told him he was under arrest. The suspect made a sudden move to escape, at which time Deputy Wren drew his weapon and fired, striking the suspect's horse. The man returned fire, killing Deputy Wren. The suspect fled but was later shot and killed by a sheriff's posse.
