Description: Detective Weir responded to a disturbance call where a patient with mental problems was threatening people with a knife. Detective Weir was stabbed by the suspect in the eye. Detective Weir remained in a coma for three months after the stabbing and remained partially paralyzed, brain damaged and blind until his death 14 years later.
