Description: Deputy Sheriff West shot while off-duty as he attempted to disarm a deranged man. Deputy West was at a theater when a fellow deputy pulled a gun and threatened a group of juveniles who were talking too loudly. As Deputy West attempted to quell the disturbance, the second deputy fired killing Deputy West and another man. The deputy was convicted of murder and executed via the electric chair.
