Description: Park Ranger Weir was killed in an automobile crash while en route to Yosemite, California for field training. Ranger Weir was traveling from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Yosemite when she lost control of her personal vehicle on I-80 in Nebraska during a winter storm and crossed into oncoming traffic. Ranger Weir's vehicle struck a tractor trailer, killing her instantly. Ranger Weir was on official government travel status at the time of her death.
