Description: Police Officer Williams was shot while responding to a domestic disturbance call. Officer Williams was shot twice as he shielded two women who were running away from the suspect. The suspect also shot and wounded a security officer. Officer Williams was transported to the hospital where he died the next day. The suspect was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death. A second trial reduced his sentence to life in prison.
