Description: Officer William and his partner Officer Terrence Wilder were responding to a radio call of a man with a gun when their van, operated by Officer Williams, struck a vehicle at an intersection. The impact of the collision caused the van to roll over and Officer Williams was partially ejected with his lower body pinned beneath the van. Officer Williams was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Officer Wilder was also admitted to the same hospital in serious condition but recovered. The radio call later proved to be false.
