Description: Sheriff Wood was shot and killed while he participated in a raid on a local home. The occupants were suspected of possession of an illegal still and selling illegal liquor. As Sheriff Wood entered the front door of the residence he was shot and killed. The suspect was found guilty of murder and hanged.
