Description: Sergeant Wilbur fell unconscious and died while on duty in his patrol car with a trainee. Sergeant Wilbur went on nearly 50 calls and ran a physically rigorous K-9 training session in the twenty-four hours before his death. Sergeant Wilbur went on duty at 6:00 am and was accompanied by a trainee whom he was field training. Sergeant Wilbur slipped into unconsciousness and the trainee called emergency dispatch. Sergeant Wilbur was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead due to a heart attack.
