Description: Captain Williams and Deputy Sheriff Robbie Whitebird were shot and killed while attempting to arrest a suspect for failing to appear in court on a domestic dispute charge. Captain Williams and Deputy Whitebird were shot by the suspect as they entered his residence. Deputy Whitebird succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Captain Williams succumbed to his injuries while being flown to the hospital. The suspect was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, punishable by the death penalty.
