Description: Deputy Sheriff Wright was shot as he and fellow lawmen attempted to arrest three suspected horse thieves. Deputy Wright returned fire, fatally wounding his assailant. Deputy Wright sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen and died of his injuries later that day.
