Description: Deputy Marshal Webster and Chief U.S. Marshal John Carrigan were returning from an assignment when they came upon a group of loiters. The crowd taunted the deputies and blocked their department vehicle from moving. When both deputies got out of the vehicle words were exchanged and gun fire erupted. Deputy Webster was shot several times as he attempted to protect Chief Carrigan.
