Description: Police Officer Wright was accidentally shot as he and another officer attempted to subdue a mentally deranged man. The officers were on patrol when they were attacked by a mentally deranged man who was weilding an iron rod. As the officers struggled with the suspect, the officer’s gun discharged and Officer Wright was fatally shot in the chest. The suspect was taken into custody. Inadvertent fire.
