Description: On October 28, 1987, Detective Williams was shot by one of three suspects whom he had arrested at a local high school for criminal trespass. While transporting the suspects to headquarters one of the suspects produced a weapon and shot Investigator Williams in the back and neck. All three suspects fled after the patrol vehicle struck a wall. Investigator Williams was rendered paraplegic and died 26 years after the initial injury on October 26, 2011.
