Description: Officer Wood responded to a disturbance call from a father whose son had threatened him with a gun. Officer Wood identified the suspect and began foot pursuit. The suspect, wanted for several armed robberies, ambushed Officer Wood and shot him three times in the head. Officer Wood was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect committed suicide before police could arrest him
