Description: Patrolman Webster was struck and killed while performing traffic duty on the Queensboro Bridge. While attempting to signal fellow officers of an approaching speeding car, Patrolman Webster stepped in front of another vehicle. He was struck and thrown several feet into the air. Patrolman Webster received a fractured skull, fractured pelvis, internal injuries, and a broken arm and leg. He was transported to the hospital where he remained until his death 21 days later.
