Description: Patrolman Charles Neaves, Patrolman Sandy Washington, Patrolman Charles Perrine and Sergeant William Wells were fatally shot when they responded to a disturbance call regarding a loud party. The suspect was killed in an exchange of gunfire with responding officers. Sergeant Wells died of his injuries a week later. The incident became known as the "Paseo Massacre."
