Description: Deputy Sheriff Wright died of complications after a surgical procedure in order to repair an injury sustained while attempting to make an arrest. On August 29, 2010, when Deputy Wright responded to a call regarding an unwanted person, the suspect resisted arrest and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, Deputy Wright injured his shoulder and corrective surgery was required. Deputy Wright died from an accidental prescription drug overdose the day after the surgery on March 3, 2011.
