Description: Deputy Williams was killed in an automobile accident on I-65 while he and another deputy transported a inmate from the state prison in Limestone County to the Calhoun County Jail. While traveling on a rain-slick highway, the department vehicle spun out of control and struck a wall. Deputy Williams was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The second deputy and the inmate received minor injuries.
