Description: Deputies V.O. "Bill" White and O.B. Pearce were on patrol when a vehicle driven by a drunk driver (and a friend of Deputy White's) passed them at a high rate of speed. Deputy White struck the rear of the vehicle when the driver abruptly stopped. Deputy White succumbed to his injuries two days later in the same hospital where his wife and newborn daughter were also patients.
