Description: On December 21, 1930, Patrolman Waggoner was shot in an exchange of gunfire with four Capone-affiliated gangsters. Patrolman Waggoner was shot in the spine and was paralyzed. Patrolman Waggoner was bedridden for the last six years of his life until his death on December 18, 1954.
