Description: Sergeant Warwick was shot while conducting a routine traffic stop. The suspect opened fire with a .38 caliber handgun, striking Sergeant Warwick in the leg and groin. The suspect ran to a nearby hotel where he shot and killed four people before committing suicide. Sergeant Warwick was paralyzed and succumbed his injuries two years later.
