Description: Corrections Officer Weaver was guarding a dozen inmates playing recreational football in the prison yard at the State Correctional Institution at Graterford. Officer Weaver attempted to get out of the way of the football game when he fell backwards and struck his head against a concrete wall. Officer Weaver became unresponsive and was transported to the hospital with a skull fracture and succumbed to his injuries nine days later.
