Description: Patrolman Westerfield was ambushed and shot as he sat in his patrol vehicle. A local citizen found Patrolman Westerfield suffering from multiple gun shot wounds and contacted police headquarters. Patrolman Westerfield was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect was arrested and charged with murder.
