Description: Correctional Officer Wright died as a result of injuries sustained after falling down a flight of metal stairs while on duty at the Mountain View Correctional Institute on April 9, 2012. A fellow officer came to relieve Officer Wright from the control room, and as Officer Wright exited the control room, he fell down the stairs. Officer Wright was transported to the hospital and treated for his injuries. On April 11, 2012, Officer Wright died due to a pulmonary embolism as a result of the fall.
