Description: Deputy Wright and his partner Deputy Millard Mills were attempting to arrest two suspects wanted for murder. While en route to arrest the two suspected Klansmen, Deputy Wright and Deputy Mills were ambushed. Deputy Wright died the next day from the gunshot wounds. Deputy Mills recovered from his injuries. The two suspects were arrested and charged with the murder of Deputy Wright. Deputy Wright is the son of Deputy William S. Wright.
