Description: Police Officer Williams was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Bruckner Expressway. Officer Williams was riding in the rear of a NYPD passenger van while en route to an assignment at the United Nations. The vehicle struck the center divider during a period of heavy rainfall. Eight other officers were injured in this crash but recovered.
