Description: Lieutenant Woods died of a heart attack while clearing debris from a vehicle crash site with serious injuries. One of the vehicles was pinned against a small grove of trees and it was determined that the trees would have to be removed in order to extricate the victims from the vehicle. Lieutenant Woods was assisting with the tree removal efforts, hauling logs away and using a chainsaw, when he suffered a fatal heart attack due to the physical exertion. Paramedics began working on Lieutenant Woods and he was transported to the hospital, where he died an hour later.
