Description: Detective Ybarra was killed in an automobile crash when she and two other detectives were en route to a department sanctioned training conference in Dallas, Texas. The detectives encountered slow moving traffic due to a prior vehicle crash on the roadway. A pickup truck then struck their unmarked patrol car which rolled over and struck another vehicle which caused Detective Ybarra to suffer fatal injuries. The other two detectives survived their injures.
