Description: On May 6, 1959, Patrolman Yonce was injured in a single vehicle automobile crash when he swerved to avoid colliding with a truck that was passing a car on the crest of a hill. His vehicle went down an embankment, into a culvert and then burst into flames. Patrolman Yonce was pulled out of the burning wreckage and transported to the hospital where he died of his injuries two weeks later on May 19th.
