Description: Lieutenant Ziebell was shot when he and his partner interrupted a burglary in progress at a service station . The two suspects escaped as Lieutenant Ziebell was transported to the hospital. The suspects were eventually apprehended and convicted of murder. One suspect was sentenced to 199 years and the other was sentenced to death.
