Description: Patrolman Zelewski was shot when he stopped a vehicle containing several suspicious men and called for assistance. When the backup unit arrived, they found Patrolman Zelewski lying dead in the street. Patrolman Zelewski had been shot with a .25 caliber automatic pistol three times. The suspect had also taken Patrolman Zelewski?s service revolver and shot him a fourth time with his own gun. Two suspects were convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
