Description: Officer Zourkas was killed in a single-car automobile accident while responding to a disturbance call. While responding, Officer Zourkas swerved to avoid striking a pedestrian who had stepped into the intersection and struck the curb. His patrol unit then flipped onto its side and struck several parked cars. Officer Zourkas was pronounced dead at the scene.
