Description: While on routine traffic patrol, Deputy Ziegler was critically injured in an automobile accident. Without warning, a trailer became detached from the vehicle that was towing it. The trailer crossed the median and struck Deputy Ziegler's patrol cruiser. Deputy Ziegler was transported to a local hospital where he died the next day.
