Description: Police Officer Zurovetz succumbed to injuries sustained 29 years earlier in a single-vehicle crash while responding to an emergency call. While responding to the call, Officer Zurovetz swerved to avoid a motorist who pulled in front of his patrol unit causing him to strike a telephone pole. Officer Zurovetz sustained head injuries and was in a coma for three months. Officer Zurovetz suffered from severe brain damage and died at a rehabilitation hospital.
