Description: Officer Zeppetella was shot and killed after a traffic stop at the Navy Federal Credit Union. As Officer Zeppetella approached the suspect's vehicle, the suspect opened fire. Officer Zeppetella was shot in the neck but was able to return fire. The suspect stole Officer Zeppetella's patrol vehicle and fled the scene. Officer Zeppetella received medical attention by military paramedics before being transported to a local hospital where he later died.
