Description: Security Supervisor Zangaro was shot and killed by an inmate inside the Berrien County Courthouse. The inmate was being escorted from the courtroom back to his holding cell by a sheriff's deputy, when he began to fight with the deputy. The inmate was able to disarm the deputy and opened fire upon the deputy. Security Supervisor Zangaro and Court Officer Ronald Kienzle rushed to assist the deputy and when each of them confronted the inmate separately, they were shot and killed by the inmate.
