Description: City Marshal Zweifel was stabbed after he arrested a man who was attempting to spend counterfeit silver dollars at a saloon. Marshal Zweifel was escorting the suspect to jail when the man pulled a knife, stabbed the marshal twice and fled. Marshal Zweifel gave chase but collapsed from loss of blood after running a block. Marshal Zweifel was transported across the street to a saloon where he died.
